What is eSIM card and How eSIM works?

eSIM card is an “electronic or embedded SIM card”, which replaces the physical, plastic SIM card. Many current smartphones use esim iphone technology, in which SIM cannot be removed from device as it is virtual sim card embedded in the devices’ mother board. The iphone eSIM card is an 6mm length and 5mm width, a small embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC).

The data saved in eSIM is renewable, which means you can decide that which tele communication operator is to be used in the mobile for calling or other purpose, which can be activated through a simple call or QR code scanning. Here it is also easy to add a data plan by simply connecting devices with an account and can be done in minutes.

The downside of traditional SIM cards is that they are only programmed to work with specific carriers. If you want to change it makes it difficult to change the provider. It also creates the inconvenience and expense most people have experienced at one time or another. For example, when you travel overseas with your phone, you must decide whether you want to pay for a relatively expensive roaming bill or go through the hassle of finding a local SIM card. In any case, to change phone companies, you need to physically change the SIM on your device.
